Ode for short is a full-on richness attack. Buttery nectarines, peaches, lemons, grapefruit, and honey come through first on the nose. And then there's this creme bruleé character on the palate.
An absolute delight.
This is from Madiran in the very southwest of France. From petit manseng and gros manseng, these rarer grapes aren't often seen in England. What a shame because they come together for a wonderful wine here.
This is low intervention winemaking at every level.
